For their 2026 Angel City Jazz Refractions performance, Harris Eisenstadt: Aberikula will perform creative music arrangements of traditional Afro-Cuban chants and rhythms. Aberikula refers to profane, rather than sacred, bata drums. 

9:15pm – Adam O’Farrill’s ELEPHANT

The music of ELEPHANT draws from a wide constellation of influences—post-bop, electronic music, classical minimalism, Radiohead, Jonny Greenwood’s film scores, Ryuichi Sakamoto, and more—absorbed organically rather than as overt crossover gestures.
